Ok, finally. It's Friday and I can sit down and write something about Boston!

The Duck Tour was lots of fun. Just watching MJ's face as we went into the water was worth it! She really thought we were going under! The dinner was great although I didn't get to meet everyone there. Nice to put faces with names. Thanks to Robin and Val for arranging the dinner. The postcards were circulated and just because one person, whose initials are Dennis Williams, wanted his postcard beer stained, Jerome thought they all should be dinner and beer stained. Julia thought it was just a ploy to steal her beer. So, if the post office questions your mail, well, thank Jerome!

Monday morning MJ and I hung out at the church on church street (where else?) with the Dana Farber Team. MJ was pulled out for a special star picture as a cancer survivor. What a gal. I went to my corral, 12000's and talked with a lot of different people. Many from Florida who were just frozen and worried about snow. The race was incredible. I saw the Rhino's up close, Howard Stern, Hula Man, and a cast of thousands. Slapped many high and low fives, got "psyched" fives and one kid tried to pull my glove off!

Mike Sheldon ran with me before Wellsley where I saw him swallowed up in the arms of about a hundred coeds! I had to laugh and keep on. Also ran with Marc Frommer at that point but felt I just couldn't find my own pace and he was looking strong and went on. I started walking through the water stops and took extra gu and felt better. The last four miles I really had to focus. No more smiling and laughing with the crowds and high fiving. When I got to 25 miles the Dana Farber Patient Partners and Families were waiting and it is just so emotional. I made it through with tears but knew MJ would be just a sobbing when she saw them. Never saw my other sister Patti at the last right hand turn but couldn't wait to see that finish line. Wasn't it further down the road this year? It looked wicked far away. Crossed in 3:55 clock time, 3:50 chip which qualifies me for next year and, yes!, I'll be there!
