My you have all been busy chatting..

This years Boston came in as my second worst marathon on record. I'm not quite too sure what happened. My feet were absolutely killing me though

and a friend who saw me at 13 said I was limping as I ran, even though nothing was hurting at that point.

Anyway, I had to walk about 21 miles into it after perfect even splits for the previous 20. I tried very hard not to stop, but I just could not do it. Of course, once you stop, especially at that point, you cool off , what I like to call the "marathon death spiral" kicks in. You cool off so you tighten and stride shortens, your speed sags, you get cooler and you tighten up more and next thing you know its 4 miles to the finish and its looking pretty grim.

Ah well, it got to the finish and after an adult beverage or 2 on the bus I was thinking about an assault on 4 hours in the fall.  Who says marathoners are rational.

Tim Smith, I saw you on the other side of the road from me looking good about half way in. I also came up on Sally from PG. Never met her beforebut the big sur Tshirt & leopard tights were a big clue..very friendly

Awesome races all.  I have not run yet, doing the ramble next week so I guess I'd better get out there.  Like Tim, I'm into Softball now, so my focus is changing a bit. But I'm coaching a bunch of preteen girls, not playing, which is exhausting in it's own, pleasurable way.
