I didn't run, so I won't be writing a lengthy report, sorry. ;-)
Hmmmm...
Positives:
* Saturday night dinner with the Deads
* Sunday afternoon great Sox game with Andy Katz, Mike Sheldon, and (Ken?
Name escapes me, sorry, I'm a bit beat.)
* Monday seeing more of the marathon than I ever have before; I was on the
back row of the TV production truck, listening to the bicycle spotters. If
you saw bikers in yellow jackets on TV (when they couldn't get out of the
shot, no doubt) they were talking to me.
* Having the TV people say they got more data from the spotters than they
ever have before, and asking me back for next year.
Negatives:
* Sunday night food poisoning and resulting very little sleep (and no
Monday run)
* Monday having a very hard time hearing the bikers, and consequently
spending the entire race in a state of emergency - as usual, the
information tends to stop flowing just when it's needed most.
* Not having time to see all the people I wanted to - Boston is like a
little family reunion, I think, and I missed some brothers and sisters.
* Coming back to Sunderland Tuesday morning and discovering that our
server was cracked and a rootkit installed, leading to 48 hours of
disaster recovery which is only now coming down off crash-priority. I don'
t think I've been this sleep-deprived since the Olympics, at least.
I'd be lengthier if I was thinking clearly, but I can't see that happening
before we have newer things than Boston to talk about...
