Egypt Days, March 29 and 30th

Egyptian Clothing

Boys: Wear a tee shirt and a sheet, wrapped around your waist in a kilt style. The tee shirt and sheet should be a solid color or have a simple pattern. You may decorate them with Egyptian designs. Bring in safety pins and sandals if you have them. Make sure you have your menat and khat. Wear appropriate jewelry – rings, earrings, armlets, bracelets, anklets.

Girls: Bring in a flat sheet for your dress. If you want to use the style that requires cutting the sheet, make the cuts at home. Bring in safety pins and sandals if you have them. Make sure you have your menat and khat. Wear appropriate jewelry rings, earrings, armlets, bracelets, anklets.

Play

Students in the play will receive extra credit depending on your part and the quality of your performance. It is important to be in the right place at the correct time and speak loudly so the audience can hear you.

Displays

All students must make an artifact to display. You must write information to explain how this artifact was useful to Egyptians.

Have your clay piece from art at school to display.

Have your mask (if you made one) on display.

Extra Credit

Projects must be in school and completed by Tuesday, March 28th (except if you make food). You can earn more extra credit points by doing more work. I will award points by the quality of the projects and the amount of work required to complete them.
