The Jackal God was Anubis. He was two different kinds of Jackals. He was shown as a Jackal and was shown as a man with a Jackal head. He looked after the place of mummification and stayed with the priests' embalming work. For every time there was a priest that was in charge. He would wear the Jackal mask trying to be Anubis, the god of the dead and mummification. In lots of pictures of wrapping mummies or pictures of gods they would show pictures of people wearing a jackal head.
